Every three years the Nordred conference is held in one of the Nordic countries to focus on Nordic cooperation and emergency management. This year the conference will be held in Gothenburg, Sweden on the 14 – 16 of September at the Elite Park Avenue hotel and the theme will be The development of Nordic emergency services . At the conference the NORDRESS project will be introduced and the mutual interest NORDRESS has with the emergency services to enhance societal security and resilience to natural disasters

The Nordred agreement is based on an agreement on emergency and rescue services between the Nordic countries from 1989. The focus is on cooperation on Civil protection and emergency management and mutual assistance during disasters .
